IH Motorhomes selling Swift

Yorkshire motorhomes maker to sell Swift models

Motorhomes

IH Motorhomes has made and sold its bespoke motorhomes directly to the public for nearly 30 years. The company announced this week that it is to sell Swift motorhomes to widen its audience.

Ian Hartley started the business in 1992 when he built his first bespoke campervan and sold it at York racecourse. His business grew, making luxury two-berth motorhomes on the Fiat Ducato and VW Crafter chassis.

In a move to widen its audience, IH Motorhomes has now extended its range of new and used models by adding Swift motorhomes to its portfolio.

Nick Chandler, sales manager at IH Motorhomes commented:

“IH Motorhomes is synonymous with high end two berth models and we’ve no intention of venturing into the four-plus market under our own brand, but we really wanted to attract a wider audience. After taking a good look at how to achieve this aim, it became obvious that the Swift brand would best serve that purpose.”

The company has Swift motorhomes in stock at its Knottingley site.
