Serenity Camping in Whitby, North Yorkshire sold from a guide price of £989,000 this Autumn, according to the agents, Savills.

The campsite caters for a mix of holidaymakers in their touring caravans, tents and glamping. Serenity Camping covers 5.5 acres (2.2 hectares).

The new owner, an unnamed park operator, have 39 touring caravan pitches, 42 pitches for tents and bell tents, two glamping pods, a ‘Shepherd’s Hut’ and ‘Potting Shed’ glamping pods. Also, there’s a two-bedroom cottage for the owner.

Situated about a mile from the beach at Runswick Bay,it’s a good site for anyone who wants to explore the North York Moors National Park.

Savills spokesman, Richard Prestwich said:

“Serenity Camping is a real demonstration of the success that can come from diversifying a campsite. Providing a range of accommodation options attracts a wider base of visitors and is something the park has proven.”
