The Roomy comes from Marburg, Germany, where the wooden mini caravan is entirely handcrafted in collaboration with local businesses. You might think that sounds expensive — but it’s actually quite reasonable. This little gem has a starting price of €16,490. But what do you get for that amount?

Compact and spacious

The Roomy is made almost entirely of wood. Both the exterior and interior are crafted from high-quality birch plywood and pine wood, finished with natural oils. For weather resistance, the caravan is treated with a clear marine varnish. Impact-resistant aluminum panels at the front and rear provide extra protection.

Depending on the configuration, the Roomy weighs between 440 and 480 kilograms. With a length of 4.80 meters and a width of 1.76 meters, it fits easily in a garage. Yet the caravan – which has interior dimensions of 3.46 meters by 1.68 meters (LxW) – offers a surprising amount of space. During the day, you can relax on the spacious bench, which at night transforms into a double bed measuring 1.40 by 2 meters.

The built-in kitchen is compact but fully equipped, with a refrigerator, gas stove, and cooking utensils for two people. Thanks to an integrated stand, you can completely remove it and use it outside the caravan.

The most striking feature of the Roomy is the convertible roof. Made from breathable and waterproof convertible fabric, it can be opened partially or fully. This allows you to enjoy the starry sky directly from your bed. Thanks to its high-quality coating, the roof is resistant to water, dirt, and wear.

The swing doors are also unique. By opening them completely, you create a spacious and open feel.

Self-sufficient on the road

With the Roomy mini caravan, you can also wild camp. Thanks to the integrated 100W solar panel and lithium-ion battery with an inverter (12V/230V), you can cook, read, and use your fridge without external power sources. This makes it an ideal camping vehicle for adventurers who love to camp off the beaten path.
