The Rasant Rolling Home looks like it just came from a construction site. With a little imagination, you can picture workers eating their sandwiches inside. But don’t be mistaken: this is no ordinary construction trailer, but an alternative to the standard caravan.
Let’s be honest, the Rolling Home from construction trailer specialist HBU doesn’t look very glamorous. So if you want to show off your caravan, this isn’t for you. But campers who appreciate sturdiness and sustainability might just be charmed by this ‘construction trailer’.
The Rasant Rolling Home is built on a sturdy construction trailer chassis and weighs 1,250 kilos. Its solid construction—including a galvanized metal roof, safety glass windows, and weather-resistant exterior cladding—makes it resistant to all weather conditions. So, you can easily store it outdoors. The caravan—because let’s just call it that for convenience—has a body length of 3.70 meters and a width of 2.20 meters. It’s certainly not an aerodynamic marvel, so expect some air resistance if you’re cruising towards the sunny south.
When you step through the large entrance door, you won’t find an interior straight out of a home magazine. Instead, you’ll see solid furniture and a practical setup. This includes a double bed, a seating area, a small kitchen (without a fridge or stove), and a surprising amount of storage space.
Want more? You can! HBU offers various extra options, such as a toilet, solar panels, a gas installation, and even insulation. This way, you can customize the Rasant Rolling Home entirely to your liking.
The base model costs just under €15,500 (note: this is the German price). For that amount, you get a sturdy and fully customizable caravan. Luxurious? No. Unique? Absolutely! Of course, we’re curious—would you take the Rasant Rolling Home to a campsite? Let us know in the comments on our Facebook page!
