NEW! Minimalism meets functionality in the new LMC e:dero

Jos Mark

The year has barely begun, and the first brand-new caravan series is already here: the LMC e:dero. The German manufacturer is presenting this newcomer to the public for the first time at the CMT (January 18-26) in Stuttgart. We’re giving you a sneak peek!

The LMC e:dero is specifically designed for campers who enjoy a bit of comfort while still embracing the essence of camping. Initially, the caravan will be available in three layouts: two for couples and one family variant that accommodates up to four people. The smallest model, the e:dero 350 D, weighs less than 750 kg, making it suitable for towing behind an electric car.

Modern and sustainable design

The e:dero combines a robust exterior with a sleek and minimalist design. The construction deliberately avoids unnecessary elements—there are no excessive plastic additions, except for practical maneuvering handles. A black frame accentuates the minimalist exterior, adds a striking touch, and allows for the installation of an optional awning. The sturdy hammered sheet metal and framed windows emphasize the caravan’s functional and sustainable character.

Sleep inside, live outside

The vision behind the LMC e:dero is that life mainly takes place outdoors. Therefore, the focus inside the caravan is on sleeping and storage. The 2-meter-long beds ensure a good night’s rest, while hanging cabinets, clothing racks, and key drawers provide space for personal belongings. The cushions are made of weather-resistant material, making them suitable for outdoor use as well. The same applies to the camping table, which is easy to move around.

The minimalist approach of the e:dero means there are no built-in cooking or cooling facilities. Instead, the interior offers space for an optional cooler and a spacious work surface, perfect for placing a portable induction hob or coffee maker. However, there is a simple sink with a 12-liter fresh water tank.

A multifunctional cabinet provides space for an optional toilet. The lighting operates on rechargeable USB batteries and can be flexibly positioned inside. In the kitchen and sleeping areas, there are two 230V outlets and USB ports (Type A and C) for modern devices. The e:dero deliberately forgoes fixed heating. Designed as an upgrade from a tent, it includes outlets for using portable heating devices.
