The roof of the caravan houses 600W of solar panels, expandable to 900W, so you’ll always have energy, no matter where you are. The massive 10.3 kWh lithium battery and a 3,000W inverter ensure that all your devices keep running, from the fridge to the optional air conditioner. Even in the wilderness, you can easily charge your laptop or brew a cup of coffee. The Airstream Basecamp 20Xe is designed to explore rugged American canyons. It comes standard with a raised body, tough off-road tires, and stylish black rock guards around the wheels.

Innovative water and heating systems

To minimize water waste, the Basecamp 20Xe features a recirculating water-saving system. This system redirects cold water back to the fresh water tank until it reaches the desired temperature. As an additional eco-friendly option, you can choose a composting toilet, making you even less dependent on external facilities.

The heating and hot water system is powered by the Truma Combi eco plus system, which runs on both electricity and propane. This way, you can always choose the most suitable energy source depending on your situation.

Comfortable interior

Inside the caravan, you won’t be missing a thing. At the back, there’s a spacious double bed, while the front dinette can be converted into two additional sleeping spots.

The central kitchen comes equipped with a portable induction cooktop that can be used both indoors and outdoors. The sink features a cutting board cover, and a microwave is available as an optional extra. Naturally, there’s plenty of storage space for all your cooking gear.

Unfortunately, the Airstream Basecamp 20Xe is not available in the Netherlands. And to be honest, this kind of off-grid camping is still quite rare in Europe. But hey, dreaming is always allowed! By the way, in the United States, the Basecamp 20Xe is available starting at $76,900 (just under €71,000).
