Earlier this month, the French car manufacturer Renault unveiled the Renault 4 E-Tech, a fully electric version of the once wildly popular model. Next year, Renault will launch the mini caravan that perfectly matches the car’s design: the R4 Carapate.
As a tribute to the new car, Renault asked four creative start-ups to develop a product that fits with the R4 and the brand’s ambition in smart mobility. One of these “4 mouvements” is the R4 Carapate mini caravan.
Real photos are not available yet, so we have to make do with the designers’ video. What is clear, however, is that the mini caravan can be towed by the new Renault 4 E-Tech. The caravan weighs 560 kilograms and measures 3.85 meters in length, 1.76 meters in height, and 1.92 meters in width. What stands out most is how well the R4 Carapate matches the tow car in both color and style. It features the same distinctive taillights, the blue paint, and the Renault logo.
Nearly the entire side of the mini caravan can be opened up, creating a true outdoor feeling. And with the large skylight, it’s perfect for stargazing. Inside, there’s a sleeping area that can be converted into a bench (or vice versa), a small cabinet, and an outdoor kitchen.
We haven’t been able to find more details yet, but as soon as more information about the R4 Carapate becomes available, you’ll read it here. In any case, it will be available starting next year.
