How do you stand out at the CMT in Stuttgart, which is full of camping equipment and accessories? Well, by putting down a bright orange camper. With such a striking color, the Womondo Lifestyle certainly managed to attract the attention of Campingtrend. We took a look at this robust bus camper from Womondo, a subsidiary brand of Robeta.
Robeta is a Slovenian camper manufacturer. Last year, Robeta introduced a new brand: Womondo, which means ‘world traveller’. On their website, they explain what the brand stands for: “What sets Womondo apart is our unwavering dedication to those who are young at heart. We understand that age is just a number, and what really matters are the memories you create and the adventures you go on. Our campers are designed for those who believe that life is meant to be lived, not watched from the sidelines.” Sounds good, right?
Sustainability is important to the new adventure brand. That’s why Womondo strives to use environmentally friendly materials wherever possible, and to have a sustainable production process.
There are now four models: Siren, Sphinx, Pegasus and Lifestyle. The latter was shining bright orange at the CMT and that is also the one we are highlighting here.
The Lifestyle is available in two sizes: the 600, which is 5.99 metres long, and the 636, which is… precisely, 6.36 metres long. Womondo offers a wide range of base vehicles. For example, the Lifestyle is available on a Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper and Opel Movano. They are all basically white and have a 140 hp engine with a manual gearbox.
Upgrading to 180 hp and automatic transmission is possible, as is a different exterior colour. Each chassis has different colour options. For example, the Fiat has yellow-orange (hello CMT model), ruby red and blue. The Opel and Citroën are mainly available in shades of grey.
This Womondo camper van is equipped with, among other things, Truma 4D heating, blackout in the cabin, a Thule awning, a reversing camera, a connection for an outdoor shower and a 130W solar panel.
The Womondo Lifestyle 636 has four approved seats. The table has an extra top that you can easily slide in when not in use. Above that are cabinets and a hatch in the roof that can be opened. The interior color is mainly gray, combined with a wood look. The bench and cabin seats have soft velour upholstery.
In the kitchen on the end side a 70 liter refrigerator, which can also be opened from outside. The kitchen counter is quite spacious, with separate covers for the stove and the sink. The combination bathroom is equipped with a bench toilet, a sink, a storage cupboard and a shower. The skylight provides light and can be opened for ventilation.
In the back of the Womondo Lifestyle 636, you will find a remarkably long bed, no less than 2.10 metres. Really special in a camper van. Around it are hanging overhead cabinets. If you fold up one of the slatted bases, there is room for bicycles, skis, climbing gear and much more. In the photo below, taken at the CMT, Womondo itself already makes some suggestions for equipment that fits in the camper.
The Womondo Lifestyle 636, which is mainly discussed above, has a starting price of 75,290 euros in Germany on Opel and Citroën, and 77,590 euros on the Fiat. For the shorter Lifestyle 600, that is 74,290 euros and 76,590 euros respectively. In the Netherlands, VAT and bpm would be added to that.
And of course, there are various options and packages available to equip this bus camper even more attractively, including a lifting roof.
