Viica 60S: gas-free camper van on Mercedes Sprinter

Jos Mark

It was only a year ago that Hannes Camper – originally a rental company – introduced a new bus camper brand: Viica Vans. The first two models are now joined by a third bus camper: the Viica 60S. Unlike the other two, this one has the Mercedes Sprinter as its base vehicle and is completely gas-free.

Vanlifers of all ages who appreciate design and quality, that is the target group of Viica Vans. Until recently, the fleet consisted of only two models: the 5.99-metre long Viica 60 with a transverse bed and the 6.36-metre Viica 64 with single beds. Both have the Citroën Jumper or the Fiat Ducato as base vehicle.

Production partner Robeta

Hannes Camper wants to deliver premium quality, both in the campers that are in the showroom under its own name and in the Viica Vans. That is why the German brand works together with Robeta from Slovenia, known for its luxury bus campers. Robeta makes the furniture for Hannes Camper and Viica Vans by hand in its own carpentry workshop. In the Viica 60S, lightweight furniture was even chosen. This construction ensures a reduction in the empty weight.

Choice for Sprinter

Unlike the Viica 60 and Viica 64, the brand has chosen the Mercedes Sprinter as the base vehicle for the Viica 60 S. This has a 150 hp engine under the hood and a manual gearbox as standard. An upgrade to 190 hp is possible, as is the choice of four-wheel drive.

Gas-free camping

If you want to camp without gas, you are in the right place in the Viica 60S. It is equipped with an induction hob and Truma 4D diesel heating. The camper is also equipped with a Mastervolt inverter and 200 Ah lithium battery. A solar panel is one of the options.

Winter camping

Camping during the cold winter months is no problem thanks to the good insulation and the heated double floor, where the tanks are not affected by frost.

Lots of privacy

This 5.93-metre long camper van has a dinette bench with Isofix attachment points in the front. The table top consists of two parts. In the kitchen, there is a Dometic compressor refrigerator on the end side, which can be opened on both sides. This makes it easy to grab a drink from outside.

Spotlights connected to a dimmer have been installed throughout the camper. And Viica Vans opts for the high-quality Seitz S4 windows from Dometic, which have an insulating effect due to the double acrylic glazing. It is also difficult to look inside from outside, which ensures a lot of privacy in the camper.

Bath and bed

In the bathroom there is space to shower; for this purpose the sink is equipped with a pull-out tap. And in the back is the transverse bed (1.88 x 1.43 meters), with cabinets above and space below to take larger luggage.

Viica 60S First Edition

Viica Vans delivers the Viica 60S in a limited edition as a First Edition model. This has a rich equipment including a nine-speed automatic transmission, Mercedes’ MBUX multimedia system, various assistance systems, heated seats in the front, a reversing camera, LED headlights and obsidian black as the body color.

The Netherlands does not have a dealer of Viica Vans. This brand is for sale in our neighboring countries. The starting price in Germany (does not apply to the Netherlands) is 99,500 euros.
