Sneak preview Laika Kreos L 5009 MB on Mercedes
No bathroom, but a wellness area. A kitchen that is fully equipped. And a bedroom that you don't really want to leave. The Laika Kreos, the series that consists of a semi-integrated and an integral camper, is considered the showpiece of the brand. The semi-integrated camper is now also available on a Mercedes: the Laika Kreos L 5009 MB.
Laika introduced the Kreos in the summer of 2021, at that time only the semi-integrated L 5009. Two years later, an integrated camper was added, the Laika Kreos H 5109. Now this luxury series is being expanded: in addition to the Fiat Ducato, the L 5009 is now also available on Mercedes. This Sprinter 417d chassis has a 170 hp turbo diesel engine, a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and an electric parking brake. The maximum gross weight is 4100 kg, which means that a C driving license is required.
Quite a bit longer, slightly lower
With the Mercedes as the base vehicle, the semi-integrated grows considerably in length. On Fiat, the camper is already quite long with a length of 7.89 metres, but the Laika Kreos L 5009 MB adds another 17 centimetres to that. This amounts to a length of 8.06 metres. The width of 2.32 metres is the same. Only in height is the Sprinter of 2.96 metres slightly lower than the 3.03 metre high Fiat.
Sitting area and kitchen
The Laika Kreos L 5009 MB has a cozy spacious seating area with a round table. A lifting bed above the seating area is optional.
The kitchen is equipped with three gas burners and a black designer tap. The worktop is made of high-quality GetaCore plastic. The sink has a cover plate that is almost sunk into the worktop and can serve as a storage space during cooking.
Wellness feeling
The bathroom in the Laika Kreos L 5009 MB has the atmosphere of a wellness and is made to let the day slide away. By closing the doors to the living area and the bed, a spacious bathroom is created. The shower cabin is already luxurious in the standard version, but can be equipped even more luxuriously with, for example, a rain shower.
Sleeping separately or together
The single beds in the back (1.95 x 0.80 metres) can be made into a large double bed. The mattresses have an adjustable headboard and comfortable mattresses.
