erman campers have voted again for their favorite camper in various categories. The magazine Promobil listed all the winners. This is the Promobil Readers' Choice 2025
The Promobil Readers’ Choice 2025 consists of eleven categories again this year: these range from compact camper vans to luxury liners and everything in between. Please note: the categories are also divided into minimum and maximum prices. These prices are not the same as the sales price in the Netherlands, because VAT and bpm are added. Nevertheless, it is worth taking a look at which campers are popular with our eastern neighbours.
1. VW California Ocean
2. Mercedes Marco Polo
3. Pössl Campstar
Volkswagen remains popular with campers. This year, the iconic camper van has once again managed to take first place in this category, just like in 2023 and 2024. The Pössl Campstar was also in this list last year. The Mercedes Marco Polo briefly disappeared from the top 3 in 2024 in favor of the Weinsberg CaraLife, but is now back.
1. Pössl Summit
2. Weinsberg CaraBus
3. Bürstner Campeo C
There is quite a bit of competition in this popular category. The Pössl Summit took the number 1 position last year and is holding on to it firmly. The Weinsberg CaraBus was in third place last year and has therefore been promoted. The Concorde Compact has disappeared from the list in favor of the Bürstner Campeo C. But… the Concorde quickly reappears in the Promobil Readers’ Choice 2025.

1. Hymer Grand Canyon S
2. Concorde Compact
3. Volkswagen Grand California
German campers are loyal to their favourite campers, because the Hymer Grand Canyon also won gold in this category last year. The Volkswagen Grand California was also in third place. In second place we see the Concorde Compact, which may well have changed categories due to its price.
1. Adria Compact
2. Knaus Van Ti
3. Challenger X
Another popular category: semi-integrated campers under 75,000 euros. In the Netherlands, you hardly have to come for that, although we have a nice row of semi-integrated campers under 90,000 euros here. Adria also took first place last year and the Knaus Van Ti was also at number 2 in 2024. Is there nothing surprising in this category? Yes, there is! In third place we see the Challenger X, which mainly owes the bronze to the good price-quality ratio and the comfortable functions.
1. Carthago Chic C-Line T
2. Carthago C-Tourer T
3. Hymer B-Class ML T
“The top 3 semi-integrated campers from 75,000 euros are not going to be chased away. This means that numbers 1, 2 and 3 are exactly the same as in 2023 and that it is party time again at Carthago”, we wrote last year. Well, that also applies to the Promobil Readers’ Choice 2025. Because the list remains unchanged compared to the past two years. So, more swings in the southern German Aulendorf.
1. Weinsberg CaraCore
2. Dethleffs Globebus I
3. Knaus Live I
The king’s class of motorhomes, that’s what Promobil calls the integrated motorhomes. In this category up to 95,000 euros (German price), the Weinsberg CaraCore is at the top, just like in 2024 and 2023. The attractive price-performance ratio in combination with luxurious equipment appeals to many German campers. The Dethleffs Globebus I and the Knaus Live I are swapping places compared to last year.
1. Niesmann + Bischoff Arto
2. Carthago Chic C-Line I
3. Niesmann + Bischoff iSmove
The integrated motorhomes from 95,000 euros are an interesting category within the Promobil Readers’ Choice 2025. There is no upper limit. “Neither in terms of functionality nor in terms of price,” says Promobil about this. And: “The Mercedes Sprinter is now mainly popular as a basic vehicle, which not only ensures excellent driving characteristics, but also a noticeable price increase. But for buyers of this premium class, the price usually comes second.”
In 2024, Carthago managed to squeeze into the top 3 with two models. This year, one is missing, the Carthago Chic E-Line I, and N+B enters the list with an extra motorhome. The Arto proudly stands at 1 and the iSmove settles at 3.
1. Weinsberg CaraHome
2. LMC Tourer A
3. Ahorn Camp Canada A
Finally some variety in the Promobil Readers’ Choice 2025! Okay, the Weinsberg CaraHome was also on the top step in this category last year. But numbers 2 and 3 are completely new. Last year, Sunlight and Carado were here respectively. According to Promobil, the CaraHome is especially popular because of its well-thought-out design and versatile functions.
1. Bimobil
2. Concorde Cruise Atego
3. Dethleffs Alpa
“Alcove campers costing over 70,000 euros stand for luxury and individuality at the highest level. These models offer generous space concepts, exclusive equipment and state-of-the-art technology that leaves nothing to be desired,” says Promobil about this category.
Incidentally, Bimobil managed to win gold again here. The campers of this brand stand out from other alcove campers and that goes down well with adventurers. The Dethleffs Alpa also won silver last year. Concorde had to share the bronze in 2024 with the Bürstner Lyseo Gallery TD, which did not manage to secure a podium place this year, not even a shared one.
1. Niesmann+Bischoff Flair
2. Morelo Palace Liner
3. Morelo Grand Empire
The Flair by Niesmann+Bischoff has been number 1 in the list of luxury liners for years. This year again and with no less than 40.6% of the votes, which is a little more than the 39.9% of last year. The Morelo Palace Liner is number 2, just like in previous years. Only in third place there is a shift: that is now the Morelo Grand Empire. Incidentally, Morelo’s flagship is not completely unknown in this category. In 2023, this 12-meter long liner was also number 3, only last year the Concorde Liner was in that place. Now the Grand Empire has fought its way back to the right side of the podium.
1. Fiat Ducato
2. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
3. MAN TGE
The top 3 of basic vehicles remains unchanged. For many years, Promobil readers have put the Fiat Ducato in first place. This is no different in the Promobil Readers’ Choice 2025. However, this basic vehicle loses a few percent: from 50.6% last year to 46.5% in 2025. The Sprinter is gaining ground and is rising sharply from 33.9% to 40.6%. The MAN TGE was able to count on 19.6% of the votes in 2024; this year it is 20.9%. Incidentally, number 4 in this category goes to the Volkswagen Crafter.
