Campercontact Awards 2026: fourteen winners across seven countries
Thousands of reviews have been tallied and ranked for the Campercontact Awards 2026, resulting in fourteen winners across seven countries. And these are the favourite motorhome stopovers and campsites of Campercontact visitors!
How are the winners of the Campercontact Awards chosen?
The winners were not chosen by a professional jury, but were determined entirely by motorhome owners. To do this, all reviews in the app and on the website between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026 were analysed. NKC Campercontact applied a few rules: last year’s winners were excluded, and a motorhome stopover or campsite had to have at least five pitches and a minimum of fifteen reviews.
What are the best motorhome stopover and campsite in the Netherlands for 2026?
Netherlands: winner in the Motorhome Stopover category
The award goes to Camperplaats bij d’n Bor in Esbeek, Brabant. Hosts Mark and Chantal van den Borne received glowing reviews from visitors, who praise the warm welcome, the spotless sanitary facilities, the fresh regional products at reception, and the peaceful location close to nature.
The owners responded to their title on NKC.nl: “Receiving this award is a huge honour for us. It feels like a wonderful appreciation for all the time, love, and energy we have put into Camperplaats bij d’n Bor together. The fact that guests take the trouble to leave such positive reviews makes us incredibly proud and motivates us to continue giving every guest a warm welcome.”
Netherlands: winner in the Campsite category
Personal service, spacious pitches, and a popular morning bread service are just some of the reasons why Camping Tjaerdastate in Rinsumageest, Friesland, has been crowned the winner in the Campsite category.
“We are proud to have won the award,” campsite owners Harry and Jeltsje de Vries reacted on NKC.nl. “For us, this is a huge compliment for all the work we put into creating our campsite. The icing on the cake!”
