Boxio grows dry toilet and washbasin into XL format

German brand Boxio makes compact products for campers, using Euroboxes. Thanks to their standard dimensions, they fit in almost all car trunks, storage compartments, or garages. The boxes are made from recycled plastic, lightweight, scratch-resistant, and easy to rinse out.

The Boxio toilet and the Boxio Wash are now also available in an XL version.

What does the new Boxio XL product line entail?

For the Boxio XL products, the brand once again uses the familiar Eurobox system. What’s new about the XL version is the height: the housing is 5 centimeters taller than the standard Eurobox.

What is different about the Boxio XL toilet?

Due to the extra height, the Boxio XL toilet now measures 40 x 30 x 33 cm (lxwxh). This provides a more comfortable seating position during use and ensures there is room inside for larger waste tanks. The urine tank increases from 5 to 7 liters, and the solids container goes from 5.7 to 8 liters. The dry toilet comes with organic bags and hemp litter, making the toilet chemical-free and low-odor. This also applies to the existing Boxio toilet.

How many liters of water does the Boxio Wash XL hold?

With the Boxio Wash XL mobile sink, both the fresh water tank and the wastewater tank have been increased from 5 to 7 liters. In the existing version, these are two 5-liter tanks. Those 4 extra liters in the XL version offer just a bit more opportunity for a quick wash-up or a quick freshen-up. The tap works via a built-in mechanical hand pump that requires no electricity. Boxio includes a shower head.

Can you upgrade an existing Boxio to an XL version?

Campers who already own a standard Boxio toilet or sink do not need to buy an entirely new system. Boxio will soon offer separate conversion kits that allow existing Boxio products to be upgraded to the XL size.
