With a bull bar, an LED light bar, off-road wheels, and in an eye-catching color, the Carado CV595 X-Edition was shining bright at the Caravan Salon 2026. We took a look inside this rugged, four-wheel-drive camper van.

What did we already know about the Carado CV595 X-Edition?

As we wrote earlier, this 5.98-meter-long camper van is based on a Volkswagen Crafter with a 163 hp engine, an automatic gearbox, and four-wheel drive. Inside, the model offers 1.98 meters of headroom, a bright interior with Visby Oak wood decor, and four approved seats. The rear bed measures 200 by 136 centimeters. The compact bathroom features a fold-away washbasin.

What stands out when standing next to the Carado CV595 X-Edition?

On the exhibition floor of the Caravan Salon 2026, where the camper van made its public debut, the CV595 X-Edition really stands out. This is partly due to the eye-catching exterior color, the bull bar, the LED light bar at the top, and the 18-inch off-road wheels from Loder. The wheels, just like the differential lock, are part of the optional Off-road package. In the Netherlands, this package carries an additional cost of 6,100 euros and adds an extra 33.5 kg. The bull bar is listed as a separate option, as are the clearliQ travel water filter and the LED light bar.

Two to three berths

The rear transverse bed accommodates two people. For those wishing to travel as a party of three, there is an optional bed conversion (170 x 100 cm) for the seating area. The bathroom is efficiently designed with a toilet, a shower, a fold-away washbasin, a mirror cabinet, and plenty of storage space. A wooden shower grate is available for an extra touch of comfort.

End-mounted fridge

The kitchen features an 84-liter refrigerator at the end of the unit, which is also equipped with a gas hob, a sink, and storage space. Furthermore, the CV595 X-Edition is equipped with a Combi 4 D Diesel heater, a 90-liter fresh water tank, and a 70-liter waste water tank.
