Benimar presents the Kaleo, a new entry-level series based on the Citroën Jumper. This series consists of three semi-integrated motorhomes and one overcab motorhome with a complete standard specification. According to the Spanish motorhome manufacturer, the Kaleo is 'the most affordable way to go camping with Benimar'. We took a look at the semi-integrated motorhomes at the Caravan Salon.
Campingtrend was in Spain last May for the Benimar press presentation. The Spanish brand announced the entry-level Kaleo series there, but was unable to show any motorhomes at that time. We had to be patient until the Caravan Salon.
In Düsseldorf, the wait was over: we checked out the three semi-integrated models in the Benimar Kaleo series. We still have to wait a little longer for the overcab model. However, we do know that its layout is comparable to the Sport 325, which features a bunk bed at the rear.
The Kaleo is a closed concept, as Benimar explained during the presentation in Salou. This means that the standard specification of the four motorhomes is remarkably complete. Just like in the UP concept – which you can read more about in this article – individual optional extras are not available due to this package. The only exception is the automatic transmission.
The fact that Benimar has opted for a closed concept for the Kaleo doesn’t mean nothing is possible. The four motorhomes in the Kaleo series can be upgraded with the Onroad pack. This package includes a metallic Thunder Grey cab with matching bumper, 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, cab blinds, a leather steering wheel with radio controls, swivelling cab seats, an awning, and an extra garage door.
In the living area, the Onroad pack adds a large 150-litre compressor fridge, as well as a Dometic entrance door with a window, double-glazed windows, a panoramic rooflight, an electric drop-down bed (except on the K625 overcab model), and pre-installations for various equipment, including a reversing camera.
With the Benimar Kaleo, you can go motorhoming for an entry-level price. But if you want a few more comforts, the Onroad pack is available to give the Kaleo motorhomes that extra touch of luxury.
These are the three semi-integrated motorhomes in the Benimar Kaleo series:

Kaleo 695
Kaleo 663
Brown is making a comeback for Benimar in model year 2027, and the Kaleo series is no exception, combining Pamplona furniture with Arizona upholstery. The dinette features an extension table, providing plenty of space to sit four people. The kitchen is equipped with a round sink, a gas hob, and a spacious worktop. In the bathroom, you’ll again find plenty of dark wood decor, a large mirror, and ample storage space.
