Eura Mobil first surprised us at the end of 2023 with the Xtura, a 4x4 semi-integrated motorhome based on the Mercedes Sprinter. Last year, the Xtura Escape hit the market with extensive off-road equipment. At the recent Caravan Salon, the German brand presented another evolution: the Eura Mobil Xtura 656 HB with a roof tent. This makes the rugged semi-integrated motorhome ideal for families who love going on adventures together.
The Eura Mobil Xtura 656 HB has a length of 6.68 metres. That is 20 centimetres shorter than the Xtura 686 EF presented in 2023, which measures 6.88 metres. The rear overhang of the 656 HB is also shorter, giving it greater off-road capability than the 686 EF. The Mercedes Sprinter features a 190 hp engine, automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive.
The new roof tent makes the Xtura 656 HB suitable for four people. Eura Mobil chose a transversely mounted model from the German outdoor brand Vickywood, leaving space on the roof for a roof box or solar panels. At the push of a button, the roof opens automatically.
The roof tent with all-round windows features interior lighting and a slatted base topped with a 198 x 130 cm mattress. The roof tent can be reached from inside via a telescopic ladder. The transverse bed at the rear offers a further two berths, measuring 194 x 138 cm. In total, there are four berths. With the new Xtura, Eura Mobil is targeting families of four with ‘ambitious long-distance travel plans’.
The Eura Mobil Xtura 656 HB has a spacious seating area with an L-shaped bench and a side bench opposite. In the kitchen, you will find a hob with two gas burners and an induction plate, plus a sink with a cover that doubles as a chopping board. Wide lower drawers and a large overhead locker offer plenty of room for provisions, crockery and other kitchen essentials. Opposite the kitchen unit is the bathroom, which features a swivelling vario washbasin wall that creates a shower cubicle. To the left, next to the bed, is the 135-litre refrigerator.
Just like the 686 EF, the new 656 HB comes equipped with two solar panels, two 200 Ah lithium batteries, and a 3 kW inverter. New additions include the on-board control system and Garmin’s off-road navigation system. Eura Mobil offers various options for off-grid travel, such as the option for a composting toilet and a choice between gas or diesel heating.
In Germany, this adventurous semi-integrated motorhome with a roof tent has a starting price of 183,400 euros. Prefer a campervan from Eura Mobil? Take a look at the new Vancona series, which was also presented at Caravan Salon 2026.
