A caravan in bright yellow, soft pink, or turquoise. American manufacturer Relic Trailers builds handmade, lightweight retro caravans in eye-catching colours. With models like the Relic Original and the Relic Roamer, the brand combines 1950s looks with modern comfort. There's no accounting for taste, but here at Campingtrend, it certainly puts us in a good mood.
Relic’s flagship model is the Original. It features a single-piece double fibreglass shell and is built to order in the US state of Washington. The compact caravan has a length of approximately four metres. Inside, you’ll find an interior with a wood finish, a front kitchen, a stainless steel sink, LED lighting, a fridge, and clever storage space under the beds. It sleeps two people. The best thing about the caravan is the finish.
Because the manufacturer builds every Relic Original to order, you can choose the colour, upholstery, and cabinet handles yourself. This small caravan doesn’t come cheap. The starting price in the United States is 49,900 dollars.
For those with less need for customisation, there’s the Relic Roamer. This model shares the same compact dimensions as the Original, but features a simpler interior. Three standard layouts are available. The Relic Roamer has a US starting price of 29,995 dollars.
Furthermore, Relic Trailers is launching a larger model in the spring of 2027: the Relic Rambler. This caravan will have a length of around 5.20 metres and will be equipped with a built-in bathroom. The Relic Rambler is specially designed for families and campers who want to spend longer on the road.
For now, Relic Trailers only delivers its caravans in the United States. An official UK launch or delivery has not been confirmed at this time.
That’s why we have a request for caravan manufacturers: reach for the colour swatch a little more often. The range here is still largely dominated by white and grey models. A bold colour instantly gives a caravan a unique character. And let’s be honest, wouldn’t a yellow, turquoise, or pink caravan at the campsite immediately brighten things up?
