Does a family caravan have to be a giant behemoth? Not at all! The LMC e:dero 470 K proves that a family caravan doesn't need to be hugely long and heavy. At the Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs, we were once again amazed by the clever layout of this lightweight caravan. And the best part? It can sleep up to five people.
The LMC e:dero 470 K comes as standard with four fixed berths and an optional fifth bed. Up front is a transverse double bed measuring 2 by 1.40 metres, 10 centimetres thick. At the rear are two bunk beds with a maximum load capacity of 80 kilos per bed. If you are travelling with five people, the central seating area converts into an extra berth.
How much does the LMC e:dero 470 K weigh and how much luggage can you bring?
The mass in running order of the 470 K is 748 kilos. With a maximum permissible mass of 1100 kilos, this gives a theoretical payload of 352 kilos for luggage, gas bottles and camping gear.
The floor of the caravan features XPS foam insulation. The front, roof and rear wall are protected with glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP). LMC offers a 12-year water ingress warranty on this bodywork.
What standard equipment comes with the LMC e:dero 470 K?
The e:dero 470 K comes standard with practical features ready for immediate camping use. Inside, you will find three 230V sockets, two USB ports and a fixed 12-litre fresh water tank. For lighting, the caravan uses removable rechargeable battery lamps and a rechargeable hanging lamp.
On the exterior, the e:dero 470 K features a spacious service hatch, a flyscreen door and several roof hatches. The chassis sits on steel rims with summer tyres and is equipped with shock absorbers and a stabiliser coupling for safe handling.

The LMC e:dero 470 K has a starting price of 16,500 euros. For that amount, you get a compact caravan clearly aimed at families who want four berths without having to tow a massive caravan behind their car.
