Hymer has given its absolute flagship, the Hymer B-Class Masterline (B-ML), a thorough update for the 2027 model year. The updated premium A-class and semi-integrated motorhome on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis gets a striking new front end, the new Tarmac Grey exterior colour, and a powerful power package for days of fully self-sufficient camping.
Visually, the updated B-Class Masterline immediately stands out with its sleeker front end and new headlight units. Hymer is also introducing the exterior colour Tarmac Grey, a warm earthy tone. Functional details such as flush-integrated service hatches and handles with one-handed operation ensure a sleek, aerodynamic finish.
Inside, Hymer offers a choice of two new style worlds. The kitchen features a double sink, a high-quality solid surface worktop, and a luxurious gooseneck tap.
For motorhomers who love to go off-grid for long periods without depending on a hook-up or campsite, Hymer has taken the onboard systems to the next level:
Fresh water tank: 200 litres (insulated and heated in the double floor, ideal for winter camping).
Solar power: Expandable to 330 Watts of solar panels on the roof.
Battery capacity: Can be expanded with a lithium battery pack up to 360 Ah for maximum power independence.
Gas supply: Optionally available with a fixed under-floor gas tank.
The B-Class Masterline sits on the trusted Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis paired with the SLC chassis (Super-Light Chassis) specially developed by Hymer. Hymer co-developed this double-floor chassis with AL-KO and Mercedes-Benz in 2018, becoming the first manufacturer to supply motorhomes built on the then brand-new front-wheel-drive Sprinter.
Editor’s experience (Jos Mark): “This year, I am driving a Hymer B-MC 680 myself, which uses the same SLC chassis. In practice, the difference in road handling is truly noticeable. The SLC chassis delivers significantly more stable handling than a standard platform chassis or even a traditional AL-KO chassis. Because the entire body combined with this chassis is much stiffer and flexes less, cornering feels noticeably smoother. Another big practical plus: because the double floor is fully insulated and heated, you don’t have to worry about frozen water pipes even when winter camping in temperatures well below freezing.”
