Adults only camping: no children, no dogs

Peace and relaxation, that’s what 50plus Campingpark Fisching is all about. This adults-only campsite does not allow children or dogs, which ensures peace and quiet.

Campsite owner Bernd Pfandl – visitors to the Kampeer en Caravan Jaarbeurs and Caravana will know him and his son Rainer – explains why this concept was chosen. “Many campers need a quiet campsite. Without noisy children and barking dogs. Not because our guests hate it, but because they want to enjoy some silence in a world full of noise. This approach is rewarded every year with guests who find our campsite for the first time and keep coming back.”

When Bernd and his family decided years ago not to allow children and dogs, it caused a stir in the camping world. Bernd: “Our adults-only campsite is now a permanent fixture in the European camping landscape.”

Green heart of Austria

50plus Campingpark Fisching is located in Styria, Steiermarken in German. This region is also called the green heart of Austria and is a paradise for active campers. The numerous hiking trails and cycle paths even start from 50plus Campingpark Fisching.

Want to chat in the evening with a drink in your hand or dream away at the sunset? You can do that at the campsite’s swimming pond, where the most delicious drinks are served from the Zape. Think of the exciting cocktail Zirbenrinha, the elegant drink Miss Rosy or a glass of rosé bubbles. Prefer non-alcoholic? That is also possible of course!

Awards and nominations

It is not without reason that there are already several ACSI Awards in Fisching, for best cycling campsite and best cycling and hiking campsite. Camping.info even calls 50plus Campingpark Fisching one of the best forty campsites in Europe and the best campsite for seniors. Campers also nominated the adults-only campsite in Steiermark for ANWB Campsite of the Year 2025. “That appreciation means a lot to us,” says Bernd. “We are ready every day to make our guests as happy as possible. The fact that they then nominate us for such an important prize is very special to us.”
