Kabe Imperial Ri810 LGB: super-deluxe draft horse of size

Marije Onderwaater

A car, a boat or a horse trailer; you can take it all with you on a camping holiday. In that case, a powerful camper is a must. For the Kabe Imperial Ri810 LGB, a heavy trailer is no problem at all. This super-deluxe integral camper has an enormous towing capacity.

Kabe campers and caravans are in the premium segment. The Swedish brand uses only high-quality materials for their construction. Thanks to their excellent insulation, all camping equipment is just as suitable for braving Scandinavian winters as it is for the Spanish sun.

Kabe campers are divided into different series. In terms of exclusivity, the Imperial series, which includes both campers and caravans, is at the top. New in this series is the Kabe Imperial Ri810 LGB, which has a familiar layout.

Beloved layout

The ‘regular’ Kabe Imperial i860 LGB is popular with many campers. This is partly due to the fine layout of this 8.82 meter long integral camper. In the living area, the large corner sofa stands out. The spacious kitchen and ditto bathroom are also popular with many. The single beds in the back can also be made into a double bed. A total of six sleeping places are possible.

Sprinter-chassis

The biggest difference between the new Imperial Ri810 LGB and the i810 LGB is the chassis. The regular version is built on a 5500 kg AL-KO chassis with front-wheel drive, while Kabe opted for Mercedes’ own Sprinter chassis with rear-wheel drive and dual tyres for the R model. This chassis offers a higher towing capacity: the Imperial Ri810 LGB can pull trailers of up to 2000 kg, and the total weight of the combination can be up to an impressive 7000 kg. Thanks to the rear-wheel drive and dual tyres (two rear wheels per side), the camper also has more traction, which is especially useful on muddy paths or a wet lawn.

Rear-wheel drive in the Royal series and LQB layout

Incidentally, this Imperial with rear-wheel drive is also available with a queen-size bed. This is the Imperial Ri810 LQB. And in the Royal series, Kabe also offers the LGB and LQB layouts with rear-wheel drive, so that these campers can also pull heavy trailers.

Comfort in the Kabe Imperial Ri810 LGB

In the Kabe Imperial Ri810 LGB you can camp comfortably in every season. In winter it is nice and warm thanks to the good insulation, the Alde hot water heating and the underfloor heating. It is also nice to stay in the camper on warm days. The insulated structure ensures that it stays cool inside.
