A new collaboration in the camper world: Ahorn Camp and the Erwin Hymer Group (EHG) have found each other. Later this year, the first Ahorn Camp vehicles will go into production at the EHG factory in San Casciano, Italy.
Family business Ahorn Camp is based in the city of Speyer in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The brand’s camper vans, semi-integrated and alcove campers all have the Renault Master as their base vehicle. Production of these campers will take place in Italy from September, in the modern EHG factory. This is where the EHG brands Laika and Etrusco come from, among others.
CEO Alexander Reichmann, who heads Ahorn Camp together with his sister Franziska, is pleased with the cooperation. “The new Ahorn Camp model range is characterised by the latest technology, a sophisticated design and maximum functionality. Now that the agreement has been reached, our customers benefit from the first-class production processes and the high production quality of the Erwin Hymer Group.”
By joining forces, new opportunities also arise for EHG. Jan de Haas, CSO of the Erwin Hymer Group: “The agreement with Ahorn Camp will boost our cooperation with our joint partner Renault and offer unique development and growth opportunities for all participating companies in the European motorhome market.”
Ahorn Camp and Erwin Hymer Group have now signed a five-year partnership. The new partners indicate that they will extend this period if both parties are satisfied. At the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, which starts on 29 August, Ahorn Camp will be showing the new vehicles from the EHG factory for the first time.
