Europa-Park anniversary celebration – A great trip with (grand)children

Europa-Park in the German Black Forest opened its doors on July 12, 1975. In the half-century that followed, the park attracted 150 million visitors and was named “Best Theme Park in the World” nine times. Haven’t been yet? Then it’s high time you visit. Europa-Park is celebrating its anniversary

The anniversary season starts on January 13 with the Nordisches Lichterfest at the water park. Until March 21, it’s a true light festival with plenty of entertainment and a dancing Northern Lights display. On March 22, the summer season begins at Europa-Park. In addition to a new parade with impressive floats and dancers in colorful costumes, there will be performances, two summer evening parties (on July 12 and August 23), a movie featuring Ed & Edda in the lead roles, and a brand new family attraction: Grand PRIX Edventure. Camping at Europa-Park

For camping and theme park enthusiasts, Europa-Park is the perfect destination. Germany’s largest amusement park has its own campsite, located just a five-minute walk from the main entrance.

The pitches at Europa-Park’s campsite are equipped with power connections (230V/5kWh). There are also sanitation facilities, dishwashing areas, and a water point with a waste disposal station for campers. The campsite also features a Western kiosk, where you can buy fresh bread rolls. At the Silver Lake Saloon, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast. Dogs are welcome, and there’s an indoor playground for children. On hot days, the swimming lake provides refreshing coolness.
