After a three-year absence, the Kabe Classic 740 is back. This semi-integrated series, now available in three layouts, returns fresher, more comfortable, and better equipped than ever.

This is great news for campers who enjoy travelling in comfort. The Kabe Classic 740 is considered the entry-level series from the Swedish brand, and according to Kabe’s Area Sales Manager Peter Vlaanderen, this offers many benefits: “The new Classic is probably the most affordable model series on the market that offers patented Kabe quality, all-year-round features, and modern technology.”

Revamped exterior design

The exterior of the Kabe Classic 740 has been completely revamped. The grey cabin gives the semi-integrated motorhome a sporty look. The graphics have also been updated, with the bright Kabe red replaced by a warmer shade of red that transitions to almost aubergine, combined with white and black. The striping runs all the way to the front, ensuring that the grey cabin and white body blend into one cohesive design.

Fiat Ducato

The 7.40-metre-long TMC 740 is built on the new Fiat Ducato chassis. With a maximum total weight of 3,500 kg, a regular Category B driver’s licence is sufficient to drive the Kabe Classic 740. The motorhome comes standard with a 140 hp engine.

Prefer more power? The heavy package is a great choice. It features a 180 hp engine and a total weight of 4,400 kg. A Category C licence is required for this, as well as for another heavy package with a maximum total weight of 4,250 kg. The Kabe semi-integrated model can also be equipped with a safety package.

There are several options available, including a 180 hp engine, a chassis package with 180 hp and 3,650 kg, a chassis package with 140 hp and 4,250 kg, and a chassis package with 180 hp and 4,400 kg.

Interior layout options

The interior layouts of the Kabe Classic 740 remain unchanged. All versions feature an L-shaped seating area with an electric drop-down bed for two people above it. This provides a total of four sleeping places.

The three available floor plans differ slightly:

  • The layout with a French bed and a bathroom next to it. The LXL version includes a corner kitchen with the fridge opposite.
  • The LGB version also has a corner kitchen, but the fridge is positioned next to it. Opposite is the bathroom, with twin beds at the rear.
  • The T layout also has twin beds, but they aren’t located at the very back. Instead, the bathroom spans the entire width of the rear. The kitchen differs from the LXL and LGB versions, featuring a straight kitchen on the left of the entrance, with the fridge on the opposite side.

Pricing and Features

The Kabe Classic 740 starts at ca. 125.820 euros. At this price, the three semi-integrated models in Kabe’s entry-level series offer all the luxury and comfort for which the Swedish brand is known. Naturally, the TMC 740 is also equipped to handle both cold winters and hot summers.
